How to Rock a Monochrome Look

There’s nothing I love more than a comfy oversized sweater and a monochrome look. When it comes to the art of monochrome you’re wearing separates of one color that have different textures or similar shades of that color to create a tonal look. Tip: wear multiple layers and varied textures of one color to create depth and dimension to an outfit. I chose a dark gray sweater layered by a light gray scarf topped with a grainy gray beanie. I was going for a more casual I-Just-Stepped-Out-For-Coffee look.

Here in Portland, its starting to get chilly and all I want to do is cuddle up in a cozy knit. Wooden Ships have some of the best knits for your winter and fall wardrobes. The BF sweater and oversized scarf that I’m wearing above seriously keep me warm on my morning downtown coffee runs before work. Wooden Ships offers some of the best staple sweaters, beanies and scarves–in various colors–that I’ve come across in a long time.

Not to mention their super cute Pom Beanies! They come in variety of color combinations, but I opted for the minimalistic black Pom and gray beanie. I can defiantly see this beanie being pair with many of my winter coats this season. If you’re looking for quality staple pieces for fall/winter, check out Wooden’ll LIVE in their pieces. xx
